If a patient / patient’s relative composed a song and wants it recorded, or wants a song produced they contact us. We then contact one of our composers to write a song, we create a backing track and contact one of our studios to record it. They then have the option of having a relative / friend record the song or one of our volunteers will do the job. In this way, we produce a custom song at no charge.
We have a comprehensive network of lyricists, musicians, studios, singer, composers, producers and graphic artists (see breakdown below) located worldwide who are ready to bring chizuk to medical patients and their families at no cost.
Lyricist - that write the song; each song written or composed has the patient and her unique situation in mind which Is dictated by the organisation or individual requesting the song.
Musicians – Create a soundtrack for the provided song.
Studio Engineer – To record and mix the song provided.
Singers – That sing the song once it has been written and the music created. This can be one of our volunteers, the sound engineer herself, or the relative / friend of the patient as requested.
Graphic Artists - CD covers/songbooks/lyric sheets are some things we offer as well
Volunteer means we just put you on a list of possible people that can help out. We are always looking to expand our network of volunteers because there is so much musical talent out there and we'd love to harness it to help those in need. When a request comes in to produce a song, we reach out to the appropriate volunteers to help out. We try not to ask individuals for help too often.
Please note, that it’s not a commitment; we have a pool of volunteers who can step in when the need arises. If you’re interested in joining, you will merely be added to a database of volunteers and may be contacted in the future to help, at which point you can choose to accept or decline.
Most of our patients are referred to us by organisations which we work in partnership in the production of songs.
If you are affiliated with an organisation that helps woman and girls with medical illness, or you have a relative / friend struggling with medical illness, Call or e-mail our headquarters (see contact information below) and we will respond by sending you a song proposal form where you can specify your preferences. Once that’s returned we’re ready to begin!
